Haft Back to Haft

Privacy policy.

Effective and last updated: November 5, 2026.

Minor Machine LLC ("Minor Machine," "we," "us," or "our") operates Haft and haft.fit. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use the Haft mobile app, visit our website, or contact us.

Haft is intended for adults age 18 and older in the United States.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and the profile information your sign-in provider makes available, such as your name, email address, and profile image. If you use Apple's private email relay, we may receive a relay address instead of your personal email address. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Training and profile information

We collect information you enter or create in Haft, including:

We use your training records to calculate information such as personal records, training volume, and strength trends. Optional profile inputs can also be used to calculate estimates such as daily energy and protein needs. These inputs and the resulting information may reveal information about your health and fitness.

Your account and training records are stored using our cloud service providers so Haft can save and retrieve them. The app also stores information on your device, including workout drafts, records awaiting synchronization, reminder preferences, and cached data.

Optional usage analytics

Usage analytics is off by default. If you enable it in Settings, we use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Haft is used and improve the app.

This can include whether you complete onboarding, how a workout is started, workout duration, exercise and completed-set counts, and unit preferences. The analytics service may also process app-instance identifiers, device and operating-system information, app interactions, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Our product-usage events do not intentionally include your name, email address, workout notes, or bodyweight values.

Optional crash reporting

Crash reporting is off by default and has a separate switch in Settings. If you enable it, we use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose reliability problems.

Reports can include error messages and stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device and installation identifiers, and diagnostic logs. An error message may contain an account or record identifier related to the failure. We do not describe these reports as anonymous.

App updates

Haft uses Expo Updates, a service from Expo (650 Industries, Inc.), to deliver app fixes without a new App Store release. When the app launches, it automatically contacts Expo to check for an update. There is no setting to turn off these checks, and the usage analytics and crash reporting switches do not affect them.

Each check sends a random installation ID generated on your device, the platform, the app's runtime version, its update channel, and the IDs of updates it has installed. Expo also receives your device's IP address and standard technical request information.

After a fatal error, the next check can include up to 1,024 characters of the error message, regardless of your crash reporting setting. An error message may contain an account or record identifier. These checks do not intentionally include your name, email address, workout records, or bodyweight values. See Expo's privacy policy.

Purchases

If you purchase a Haft subscription through the App Store, Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details. For subscription features, Apple and our subscription service provider, RevenueCat, process purchase and transaction identifiers, subscription status, product information, and identifiers used to associate access with your Haft account. We use this information to provide paid features, restore purchases, and resolve subscription issues.

Website visits and support

The Haft website currently has no account sign-in, signup forms, advertising trackers, or analytics scripts. The website itself does not set cookies or access your app account or training history. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical request information, such as your IP address, browser information, requested pages, and request times, to deliver and protect the site.

When you contact us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments or other information you provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or information that is unnecessary for your request.

How we use information

We use information to:

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use your training or health information to target advertising.

When we disclose information

We disclose information to providers that help us operate Haft. These include Google/Firebase for authentication, cloud storage of app records, hosting, and optional analytics and diagnostics; Apple and Google for sign-in; Apple and RevenueCat for subscription services when used; Expo for delivering app updates; and providers that handle our support correspondence and website infrastructure. Providers receive information relevant to the functions they perform. Apple and Google also process information under their own policies when you use their accounts or services.

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect people's safety or our rights, prevent fraud or abuse, or address a security incident. Information may also be disclosed in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of our business, subject to applicable law and protections for the information. Where required, we will give notice or obtain consent before a new use or disclosure.

We may disclose information at your direction or with your permission. Your training records are not made publicly visible by Haft.

Your choices

Usage analytics and crash reporting. You can enable or disable these independently in Settings → Privacy. These choices apply to your account on the device where you make them. Crash-reporting changes take full effect the next time Haft starts. Turning a setting off does not itself delete reports already received. These switches do not disable the storage needed for your account and workouts or the training charts and calculations you use within Haft. These switches do not turn off app-update checks.

Optional information. You can choose whether to provide optional profile details and can edit or clear supported fields in the app. Removing an entry or template does not necessarily remove information already copied into another record. For example, a completed workout can retain a bodyweight value or exercise details from the time it was recorded.

Reminders. Reminders are scheduled on your device. You can manage them in Haft and control notification permission in your device settings. Workout names may appear in notification previews, depending on your settings.

Browser signals. The website does not use cross-site advertising tracking. It does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser's Do Not Track signal.

Access, correction, and deletion

You can review and edit information through the app's available controls. To request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of other personal information, email kevin@minormachine.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will respond as required by applicable law, and some requests may be subject to legal exceptions. Where applicable law gives you an appeal right, you can appeal our response using the same address.

You can request account deletion from Settings → Account. The process requires you to confirm your identity and deletes your Haft sign-in account and associated active profile and training records. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your cloud account.

Account deletion does not necessarily erase every backup, previously collected diagnostic record, or provider-held record at the same time. Purchase history remains in RevenueCat after your Haft account is deleted, for tax recordkeeping. Contact us if you need help with a broader deletion request. Information that must be retained for a legal, security, or dispute-resolution purpose may be retained for that purpose, subject to applicable law.

Deleting your Haft account does not delete your Apple or Google account. If you have an App Store subscription, manage its cancellation separately through Apple; account deletion is not a substitute for cancelling a subscription.

How long we keep information

We generally keep your account and training records while your account exists, unless you delete particular records earlier. Cancelling a paid subscription does not by itself delete your training history.

Analytics and diagnostic records are retained according to the applicable provider retention settings and policies. Expo retains update-check records according to its own retention settings and policies. Aggregate statistical reports may be retained longer than individual event records. We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to address the request and related follow-up. Operational, security, and transaction records may be retained as needed to maintain the service, meet legal obligations, prevent misuse, and resolve disputes. When deciding retention periods, we consider the purpose of the information, its sensitivity, and any applicable legal requirements.

Information removed from active systems may remain in backups or provider recovery systems until those copies expire or are deleted under the relevant retention process; in the database holding account and training records, records deleted from the active database, including through account deletion, can remain in recovery copies for up to about 28 days. This database has 7-day point-in-time recovery and weekly backups kept for 28 days.

Security and processing locations

We use safeguards designed to protect personal information, including authenticated access to account records. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Although Haft's initial availability is limited to the United States, our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Children and teenagers

Haft is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information through Haft, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including account removal where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Haft changes. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the app, email, or another appropriate method, and obtain consent where required by law.
